How to care for your handbag?

Leather is a noble, living material, made from carefully selected hides to offer you models that are ever more varied and beautiful.
Ideal for accompanying you in all your activities, it remains sensitive to external factors.
But how do you care for it so that your leather bag stays with you for many years?

Rest assured, leather care, carried out two to three times a year, will help your handbag grow more beautiful over time…

Cleaning and moisturizing leather

The main need of leather lies in the hydration (except for suede and velvet) : a liquid, oily product will preserve the qualities of the leather and prevent cracking, stiffening and dryness.

First, start by emptying your bag and clean the inside. Then, using a suitable brush at type of leathe rof your bag, dust the outside. You can then apply using a chamois or of a soft cloth:

- A care in the form of cream which will clean, nourish and maintain smooth leathers.

- A milk which will clean, nourish and soften or a waxing cleansing milk which cleans deeply and restores shine to the leather.

A balm who goes nourish deeply, revive color, protect and waterproof.

- A cleansing foam which will clean, remove stains and revive colors or a eco clean which will gently clean the leather, the suede, the nubuck

- A vegetable fat which will deeply nourish the smooth leathers and robust.

- A freeze which will maintain and nourish delicate leathers.

A eraser suitable for cleaning suede, nubuck and the suede leather which will allow you to remove stains.

Don't forget to clean the metal parts of your bag that may suffer from prolonged exposure to climatic variations, with a polishing paste that will smooth the treated areas.

Leather protection

Once the cleaning Once your bag is finished, it's time to move on to the protection steps!

A multi-material treatment will protect, nourish and revive colors. For treatment of suede, nubuck or suede leather, turn instead to a color reviver adapted to your type of leather.

Waterproofing from your bag using a protective spray or a balm that will prevent premature stains is an essential step. It will also prevent the color of your bag from rubbing off onto your clothes or skin...

When you are not using your bag, you can store it in a fabric pouch which will protect it from dust and aggression while allowing it to breathe. Don't hesitate to fill it with paper (without ink, which could stain the inside) to allow it to retain its original shape.
