What does vintage-effect leather mean?
Here, the word vintage describes the leather, not the age of the bag. This soft leather is treated to feel supple and look lived-in. The bag is less structured than a smooth leather style and takes the shape of what you put inside. Over time, the color softens where you touch it most. A few styles are made of vegetable-tanned leather, a slower process that uses plant extracts. You will find them in our vegetable-tanned vintage leather bags.

Which style should you choose?
For every day: the MISS STORM, a handbag to carry on the shoulder or crossbody.
To carry it all: the STORM XL HURRICAN, a large shoulder bag.
For the office or errands: the MISS JEANNE tote bag.
To travel light on a night out: the MISS JOE clutch in woven leather.

Most of these bags are large, between 35 and 47 cm. Black, chocolate brown and cognac lead the way, along with navy, dark gray, burgundy and khaki. The patina shows best on brown and cognac. How do you care for a vintage leather bag?
Soft leather needs little care. Dust it with a soft, dry cloth. If the leather looks dry, apply a thin layer of leather cream after testing it on a hidden spot. Off season, stuff the bag with paper and store it in a fabric dust bag, away from the sun. You will find every step in our article on how to care for your handbag.
