What is ostrich leather?
You can spot ostrich leather by its small round bumps, the quill marks left by the feather follicles. Every hide has its own pattern, so two cases in the same color are never quite alike. This leather is supple and soft to the touch, and it stands up well to rubbing. That makes it a good fit for everyday items. Alongside the ostrich, you will find one python piece with clearly visible scales, and a few metallic leather styles that catch the light.
Which accessory should you choose?
A glasses case protects your eyeglasses or sunglasses at the bottom of your bag.
A document holder keeps your papers and cards together.
A key ring is easy to find in your bag and can also clip onto the handle.
The flat envelope clutch holds the essentials for a night out.
These small pieces also make lovely gifts. For more styles, browse all our glasses cases and our bag charms and key rings.
How do you care for these leathers?
Ostrich leather needs very little care. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not leave it in the sun or near a radiator for long. If it gets wet, let it air dry, away from any heat source. Once or twice a year, a little colorless conditioning cream keeps the leather supple. You will find more tips in our article on how to care for your handbag.
